What I collect
If you join the waitlist, I collect your first name, your email address, and the colourway you picked.
If you buy a cap, I also get your name, delivery address, email address and what you ordered. Your card details go to Stripe, not to me. There is no account and no advertising on this site.
Why
The waitlist: so I can email you when the first run goes on sale, and so I know roughly how many caps to make and in which colours. The legal basis is your consent: you choose to join, and you can leave at any time.
Orders: to take payment, post your cap, and deal with any return or problem. The legal basis is the contract between us. I also keep a record of each sale because the law requires it for tax.
Who else sees it
The waitlist form is run by Tally, who store the responses for me. The site is hosted by Cloudflare.
For orders: Stripe takes the payment and sees your name, email, card and address. Royal Mail sees your name and delivery address, because they're on the parcel. Emails about your order go through Gmail.
Nobody else gets your details, and they are never sold or shared.
When a page loads, your browser also fetches the fonts from Google Fonts and the 3D code from jsDelivr. Like any website, they see your IP address so they can send the files, but nothing you type and no cookies.
Visitor numbers
I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they look at. It sets no cookies, it doesn't follow you to other sites, and it doesn't record anything that could identify you. I can see that a visit happened, not who made it. That is also why there's no cookie banner on this site — there's nothing to ask you about.
How long I keep it
The waitlist: until you ask me to delete it, or until the brand stops running.
Orders: the record of a sale is kept for as long as the law requires for tax (at least five years after the January 31 tax-return deadline for that year), then deleted. If you ask me to delete your details before then, I'll delete everything except that record.
Your choices
Email c.oheadwear22@gmail.com and I will delete everything I hold about you (apart from any sale record I have to keep for tax), or tell you exactly what that is. No reason needed. Every email I send will also have an unsubscribe link.
C.O is the trading name of Callum O'Brien, a sole trader (not a company) at 11 Highcrest Grove, Manchester M29 8GH, who is responsible for your details. Questions go to the same address. If you're unhappy with how your details are handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
